Effective Date: August 13, 2026
This Cancellation & Billing Policy applies to purchases made directly from GMC Capital Enterprises, LLC under the Illuminare House™ brand. Because Illuminare House may offer books, digital products, events, publishing services, and author or co-author opportunities with different fulfillment structures, offer-specific checkout terms or signed agreements may contain additional or different rules. When they do, the more specific terms control to the extent permitted by law.
1. Pricing and Payment Authorization
Prices, deposits, installment schedules, taxes, shipping, and included deliverables will be disclosed at checkout, in an invoice, order form, proposal, or written agreement. By submitting payment, you authorize the stated charge or agreed payment schedule.
2. One-Time Purchases
For one-time purchases, your payment is charged when you complete checkout or otherwise authorize payment. If a product or service is unavailable, materially changed before fulfillment, or cancelled by Illuminare House, we will provide an appropriate remedy consistent with applicable law and the terms of the specific offer.
3. Payment Plans and Installments
If an offer permits installments, the payment schedule will be disclosed before purchase. Unless the applicable offer states otherwise, enrolling in a payment plan is a commitment to the full purchase price rather than a month-to-month subscription. Cancelling future access does not automatically cancel amounts already contractually due. Any different rule in a signed agreement or checkout disclosure will control.
If a scheduled payment fails, we may notify you and reasonably attempt to process the payment again. Access, editorial work, production, printing, distribution, or other fulfillment may be paused while an account is past due.
4. Publishing, Co-Author, Contributor, and Author-Service Fees
Publishing engagements and author opportunities often involve reserved production capacity, editorial work, design, project management, ISBN or metadata work, platform setup, printing coordination, marketing preparation, or other services that begin before publication. For those offerings, cancellation, refund, removal, replacement, deadline, and payment terms are governed primarily by the applicable signed publishing, contributor, co-author, or services agreement.
If a project-specific agreement provides a refund window, deposit rule, milestone schedule, non-refundable fee, or removal provision, that provision controls. Do not rely on this general website policy in place of the agreement for a specific publishing project.
5. Books and Physical Products
If you receive an incorrect item or a physical product that arrives materially damaged, contact us promptly with your order information and, when requested, photographs showing the issue. We will evaluate replacement, refund, or other remedies consistent with applicable law, carrier or printer requirements, and the terms presented at purchase.
Unless required by law or stated otherwise at purchase, personalized, signed, print-on-demand, special-order, or author-copy products may not be returnable for preference-based reasons after production has begun.
6. Digital Products and Downloadable Materials
Because digital products can often be accessed or downloaded immediately, refund eligibility may be limited once access or delivery has occurred. Any specific refund period or satisfaction guarantee will be stated on the applicable sales or checkout page. Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
7. Events, Workshops, and Author Experiences
Cancellation, transfer, credit, or refund terms for live or virtual events will be stated on the applicable registration or checkout page. If an event is cancelled by Illuminare House, registered purchasers will receive the remedy stated for that event and any rights required by applicable law.
8. Subscriptions or Recurring Services
If Illuminare House offers a true recurring subscription or membership, the frequency, amount, renewal terms, and cancellation method will be disclosed before purchase. You may cancel future renewals using the method stated for that subscription. Cancellation does not ordinarily reverse charges already properly incurred before cancellation unless required by law or stated in the offer.
9. Refund Requests
To request a refund, cancellation, billing correction, or payment-plan assistance, contact us using the information below and include your name, purchase email, order or invoice number if available, and the reason for your request. We may request additional information reasonably necessary to locate the transaction or evaluate the request.
Approved refunds are generally returned to the original payment method. Processing time may vary depending on the payment processor or financial institution.
10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can investigate and attempt to resolve the issue. Nothing in this policy limits your lawful right to dispute an unauthorized or improper charge. We may provide transaction records, agreements, delivery records, communications, and other relevant information to payment processors or financial institutions in response to a chargeback or payment dispute.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy prospectively as our offerings or payment practices change. Changes do not retroactively alter a signed agreement or a purchase made under different disclosed terms unless permitted by law and agreed by the parties where required.
